GDPR & Global Privacy Rights
Last updated: 7 July 2026
This notice explains how the EU/UK GDPR and comparable laws (such as Switzerland’s FADP, Brazil’s LGPD, and US state privacy laws) apply to TakeOver. Because TakeOver has no accounts and collects no personal data, most obligations are satisfied by design.
1. Scope
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy for individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other regions with similar data-protection laws.
2. Who is responsible
The provider of TakeOver (the “Operator”) is the controller for the limited processing described below. You can reach us at hello@mishti.world.
3. What personal data is processed
We do not maintain a database of users and we do not profile you. The only processing that may involve personal data is:
- Connection metadata (e.g. IP addresses, connection identifiers) handled transiently by the connection-brokering and TURN services purely to let your devices reach each other over the internet;
- Hosting logs generated by our hosting provider when you visit this website or download a build (IP address, user-agent, timestamps), used for delivery and security.
We do not process the content you exchange between your own devices (screen, audio, files, camera) — it is end-to-end between your devices and never sent to us.
4. Lawful basis
- Performance of a contract / your request (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing connection metadata to establish the link you asked for;
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the website and downloads available and secure, and preventing abuse. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
5. Retention
Connection metadata is processed only for the duration of a session and is not retained by us. Hosting/security logs are kept for a short period by our provider under their standard retention and then deleted or anonymised.
6. International transfers
Our hosting and connection services operate globally and may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by our providers.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. As we hold no user profile, in most cases there is no personal data on our side to act upon; where a provider processes limited data on our behalf, contact us and we will assist. US-state-law rights (e.g. to opt out of “sale”/“sharing”) are honoured by default — we never sell or share personal data.
8. Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the EEA), the UK ICO, or your regional regulator. We’d appreciate the chance to help first — please contact us.
