Data & Account Deletion

Last updated: 7 July 2026

This page explains what happens to your data and how to delete it — required by app stores, and simple in our case: there’s no account, and your data lives on your own devices.

On this page
  • Summary
  • 1. No account to delete
  • 2. What data exists & where
  • 3. How to delete it
  • 4. Unpairing devices
  • 5. Making a request
  • 6. Contact

Summary: TakeOver has no online account and stores no personal data on our servers. To delete everything, uninstall the app (or clear its data). There is nothing on our side to request deletion of.

1. No account to delete

TakeOver does not use accounts, email sign-up, social login or cloud profiles. We therefore hold no account, password or profile that could be deleted. This satisfies app-store “account deletion” requirements by design.

2. What data exists & where

  • On your devices: a random device/server identifier, a per-pairing secret, your list of known devices, and app preferences. This is stored locally and used only to reconnect your paired devices.
  • On our servers: nothing about you is stored. Optional internet connections process transient network metadata during a session only (see Privacy Policy).
  • Hosting logs: our provider keeps short-term request/security logs for the website and downloads, which age out automatically.

3. How to delete your data

  1. Android / iOS: uninstall the TakeOver app, or go to Settings → Apps → TakeOver → Storage → Clear data. This removes all pairing data and preferences.
  2. Desktop server: quit the app and delete its data folder (on Windows, %LOCALAPPDATA%\TakeOver), then uninstall.

Once removed, the local pairing data is gone. Reinstalling starts fresh with new identifiers.

4. Unpairing / revoking a device

You can remove any paired phone from the desktop server’s device list at any time. A removed device cannot reconnect until you approve it again. This is the fastest way to revoke access without deleting everything.

5. Making a deletion request

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing to request. If you believe a provider is processing limited data on our behalf (e.g. hosting logs tied to your IP) and you want us to help, email us and we’ll do what we can.

6. Contact

Email hello@mishti.world and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

TakeOver
